I used the podcast "Capitalizing Proper Nouns" as an introduction to the topic. While doing projects in the lab with students, I have found that they do not capitalize proper nouns in there writing. We had a great discussion, and I think it was due to the podcast. The students were involved, and they are asking for more.

I used memo to create a step of directions for when my third and fourth graders type a journal entry once a month. I seem to repeat the step by step directions as students stragle into my classroom even though they are posted on the SmartBoard as they enter.

The HS AP English, a third grade teacher and myself are doing a collaborative literature project. The AP English students will be mentors for the literature groups. Three of the AP students made podcasts of the books/chapters. The student podcast I have posted is the reading of Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish.
